Dr. James St. Louis

After receiving his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of Wisconsin — La Crosse, he earned his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences Osteopathic Medical School in Kansas City, Missouri. Following his graduation from medical school, Dr. St. Louis joined the United States Army and completed a rotating internship at Eisenhower Medical Center in Fort Gordon, Georgia. Afterward, he completed orthopedic residencies at Fort Lewis, Washington and Kennedy Medical Center in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. In 1994, he earned a Meritorious Service Award and Commendation Medal from the Army.

Dr. St. Louis worked in private practice for many years, then founded Laser Spine Institute (LSI) in 2005. LSI operated four surgical centers across the U.S. and performed minimally invasive spine surgeries to help thousands of patients find relief from neck and back pain. 

Dr. St. Louis has served in many leadership positions throughout his career. In 2008, he was appointed to the Florida Board of Osteopathic Medicine by then-governor Charlie Christ. He served on the board until 2012. Additionally, he’s served as the director of Cardiac Rehabilitation/Exercise Physiology at Brooke Army Medical Center, director of Cardiac Rehabilitation/Cardiac Therapeutics in San Antonio, Texas, chief of surgery at Woodland Medical Center in Alabama, and medical director of HealthSouth in Pensacola, Florida.
