Our goal is to provide you with the best possible care to help you find the greatest degree of pain relief. Learn more about the range of services we offer.
MRI Reviews
Prior to your first consultation with us, we’ll ask you to provide a copy of your latest MRI imaging report. Our skilled providers will review the findings to verify an accurate diagnosis of your spinal condition and make recommendations for treatment. We perform this complimentary review to ensure that the National Spine Institute is the right clinic for you. If our providers don’t think you’re a good candidate for minimally invasive surgery, we’ll be the first to tell you and save you the costs of undergoing an unnecessary procedure.
Getting to the root cause of your pain
Once you’ve scheduled an appointment with us, we’ll provide a thorough diagnostic evaluation to confirm an accurate diagnosis of your spinal condition and determine the best treatment course. During the diagnostic process, we’ll collect information from the following components:
- Medical and family history
- Past and current activity level
- Physical examination
- Neurological evaluation
- Additional diagnostic imaging (X-ray, MRI, CT)
Performing a complete diagnostic evaluation ensures that our providers have all the information they need to verify a correct diagnosis and recommend an effective, personalized treatment plan based on your individual needs.
Surgical Consultations
Our providers conduct an in-depth preoperative evaluation to make sure that spine surgery is the right treatment course and that you’re healthy enough to undergo the procedure. The evaluation process includes a comprehensive review of the findings from your medical history, imaging reports, physical exam, and neurological eval. Additionally, our providers will investigate any pre-existing conditions you have (like diabetes or heart disease) that could increase the risk of surgical complications. In some cases, you may need to undergo preoperative tests or see a specialist for a consultation prior to spine surgery clearance. Finally, our providers will evaluate the need for a psychological evaluation to identify psychological factors that could impact the success of your surgery. A comprehensive surgical evaluation prepares our providers to successfully care for you before, during, and after surgery.
Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery
Our providers perform a range of minimally invasive spine surgeries to relieve pain and improve functional mobility for people who have sustained spinal injuries in an accident. Depending on your injury, surgical options include spinal decompression procedures like a foraminotomy, laminectomy/laminotomy, or discectomy or spinal stabilization procedures like a fusion or artificial disc replacement. In some cases, you may need a combination of procedures. Your doctor will recommend the best minimally invasive surgery based on your condition and symptoms. Additionally, your provider will outline the benefits and risks of each procedure prior to moving forward with surgery.
